London-based architecture firm Bureau de Change has completed the flagship store for jeweler Nikos Koulis on Voukourestiou Street, a prestigious shopping area in Athens. The design merges contemporary architecture with traditional craftsmanship, featuring a distinctive facade that incorporates aluminum details inspired by Athens’ historic walls and the craftsmanship of 19th-century jewelry boxes. Inside, the atmosphere is refined and sophisticated, with silk wall coverings and custom oak flooring enhancing the interplay of light and texture. A striking staircase behind beveled glass panels leads to a mezzanine salon for high-end clients, designed to be bright and tranquil. Custom-designed furniture and display elements throughout the store reflect the bespoke nature of the brand, creating an inviting space that showcases Koulis’ luxurious jewelry.
